Hey, like this? Why not share it with a buddy?

He said, ‘Pune is a manufacturing capital with reputed educational institutions and abundant skilled human resources. ‘Dadagiri by certain elements is becoming an obstacle to Pune’s development, Maharashtra Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis said a week after his Deputy and State Finance and Planning Minister, Ajit Pawar expressed concern over flight of IT sector companies from Hinjewadi to Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Fadnavis, who is also the State Home Minister, said that all political parties would have to be on the same page. “In Pune, political dadagiri is on rise…the industries sector is getting affected…they drop names and do dadagiri…we will crush it, we welcome who are with us,” said Fadnavis in a strong message during a brief media interaction in Nagpur on Saturday. Fadnavis on Friday inaugurated the ‘Pune Metropolitan Region Growth Hub’ initiative and presided over the signing of Statement of Intent between NITI Aayog, Government of Maharashtra and Pune International Centre for preparing the economic plan of the Pune economic region.
According to him, Maharashtra is now competing on the global stage. “In this context, ensuring a hassle-free business environment is essential and it calls for a change in overall mindset. “Pune is a manufacturing capital with reputed educational institutions and abundant skilled human resources. With proper planning and focused policies, a strong ecosystem can be built here. As India rises to become the third-largest economy globally, leveraging the potential of cities which contribute nearly 65% of the GDP becomes even more important,” said Fadnavis. “Today, human resource is the key driver of investment. With the right sector-wise policies and necessary infrastructure, Pune’s contribution to the state’s GDP can grow significantly. The growth hub will offer a clear roadmap to harness this potential. Major infrastructure projects like Pune’s international airport and ring road are expected to greatly boost the region’s economy,” he added. The growth hub must evolve from a concept to an active institution. It will require collective efforts from administration, citizens and institutions. Maharashtra is set to become the first State to implement such a large-scale regional growth model, setting the path towards a “Viksit Maharashtra”, he said.
